LoCAR works to advocate for realtors by forming direct relationships with government officials to provide a valuable voice in their decision-making processes about real estate matters and private property rights.

This is achieved in three main ways:

1. LoCAR’s Government Affairs Committee monitors, identifies, and responds to issues that affect REALTORS® business and/or private property.
2. LoCAR educates, supports, endorses, and engages local and state-wide elected officials to help them understand and support REALTOR® issues.
3. Raise RPAC funds to elect REALTOR®-friendly candidates.

With our endorsement of these candidates, we expect to find (once elected) local representatives who will provide the leadership needed to support the Lower Columbia Association of REALTORS®, our industry, and our workforce are more effectively represented in local government. We are excited to move forward & continue to assess and develop our business relationship with our community partners, as well as supporting our needs as we navigate through real estate in
2023 & beyond.
